Is the Sentry Leather water resistant, and can I swim or shower with it?
The Nixon Sentry Leather Watch is water resistant with a rating of 100 meters / 10 ATM, but it is not fully waterproof. The watch itself can withstand swimming or showering, however since it has a leather strap we recommend that you do not get this watch wet.
What materials are used in the case and strap of the Sentry Leather, and how should I care for the leather band?
The Sentry Leather watch features a solid stainless steel case paired with a genuine leather strap. To care for the leather band, first wipe away any dust with a dry microfiber cloth. Then get the cloth slightly damp and gently wipe the strap. Lay the strap out to dry to complete the cleaning process. Visit the blog for more information.
What type of movement does the Sentry Leather use, and does it have a day/date function?
The Sentry Leather watch uses a Japanese Miyota 0S20 quartz 3-hand movement with a bilingual day and date complication (English/Spanish).
Can I replace the leather strap with a different band?
Yes the 23mm leather strap on the Nixon Sentry Leather can be replaced. The strap is attached with a spring bar, so you will need special tools.

Nixon provides a limited warranty for the Sentry Leather, covering defects in materials and workmanship for two years from purchase at an authorized dealer.
